Subaru Announces Organizational and Management Changes
(Effective September 30 and October 1, 2017)
Tokyo, October 2, 2017 - Subaru Corporation announced the following organizational and management changes which took effect on September 30 and October 1, 2017.
1. Organizational Change (Effective September 30, 2017)
< Termination of Industrial Products Division >
The Industrial Production Division of Automotive Business and departments under the division were terminated, as the company ended production and sale of industrial products including general-purpose engines and generators with effect from September 30, 2017.
2. Organizational Change (Effective October 1, 2017)
< Name Change to 4th Powerunit Research & Experiment Dept. >
The name of the Powerunit Evaluation & Experiment Dept. in Engineering Division 2 was changed to the 4th Powerunit Research & Experiment Dept.
The name change reflects a change in the group’s business operation system that was made with the aim of incorporating a market perspective in ensuring the performance and quality of powerunits.
3. Change in Areas of Responsibility for Corporate Executive Vice President (Effective October 1, 2017)
